Welcome!

    Hi! I'm Lotty!
    I'm a 20yr old cisgender woman from Cornwall studying for a Psychology degree in South Wales. It doesn't sound like much but I'll make it interesting.

    I consider myself to be a sex education NERD and a hardcore feminist. Acting upon this, I have been volunteering with women's charities since the new year and since the U.K corona virus lockdown I have begun to create a little page on Instagram under the same name of this blog ("awholelottylove"). That little Instagram page has received wonderful feedback from some of my closest friends and I have been so grateful to have a focus for my energy whilst I'm not working in my lil' coffee shop at the moment and its the summer holidays.

    However, there is only so much that can be spoken about through an Instagram page. This blog will serve as discussion platform for my Instagram page and for me to really get my hands deep into the topics I talk about.

    I must make it clear that I am not officially qualified in this field (YET!), I am just a total nerd for these topics; so whilst I have read up on content enough to form my opinions, what I share will remain as that - my opinion.

    I like to discuss topics & review resources surrounding;
  • Sex & Relationships
  • Puberty & Sexual Health (predominantly female biology)
  • Safe Sex & Porn (including kink)
  • Mental Health
  • Feminism
  • Body Positivity
  • LGBTQ+

    I hope that you will enjoy my ramblings as I use this space to document my thoughts upon practically anything & everything. This has become my TMI Free Zone so enjoy!

    Much love,
    Lotty x

My Body; My Home - A Discussion about Body Autonomy

     Hey Readers  💖        Long time no speak. I'm going to aim to keep these posts to a once a month deal (at least). I don't want to overwhelm myself with over dedication to the blog.      But anyway, today's post. I've been thinking a lot about body autonomy and the choices that we make in regards to our own bodies and how we use them.       I've been thinking about this a lot recently because I've had some mixed experiences in the reception to my own body. Now I must be clear I am in no way talking about assault or harassment, namely people feeling like they could dictate in how my body was to be used for them. Everything I have ever experienced has been consensual but looking back I was consenting to some pretty toxic ideals.         When considering the concept of body autonomy; I've managed to categorise my experiences into two different contexts and whilst these contexts may overlap for some (as they have for me) it can be possible for t
